My debut novel, “Starless & Bible Black”, was self-published on April 1st, 2026. I know the first question you’re going to ask – the question everyone asks when I tell them I’ve written a novel:

“What’s it about?“

The answer… is tricky! Maybe it’s because it’s my first book… but it’s got a bit of everything in it. Obviously, the easiest way for you to find out, would be to be buy it and read it. And then leave an amazing review on Amazon. Not for my sake – but for all the other potential readers, who might not realise what they’re missing out on.

If you don’t want to commit to spending your hard-earned cash without knowing a bit more, I’ll give it a go:

• First off, I hope it is, (at least a little bit) funny. If I was forced to give it a genre, I’d go with: Political Satire.
• So yeah, it’s political – but only in the same way “The Thick Of It” is political. Not that it’s anything like that!
• And yeah, I hope it’s funny, but there’s a serious message/theme running through the book: How the fuck did we get to be so greedy and stupid, that we are jeopardising our very existence?
• And then there’s the “sci-fi element“! Or is it? I can’t tell you more than that, without plot spoiling. So you’ll have to read it and judge for yourself.
• Finally… it contains swearing. Shed loads of swearing. It starts with swearing… and keeps on going with the swearing. So, you’ve been warned!
